Keir Starmer apologises

Not often I defend him but I think he's been a bit hard done by, here. If it is in her constituency and he attended with her (as reported elsewhere) I would think he was invited by Dawn Butler and he appears to have had no knowledge of what the Church's view on gay rights is. In those circumstances, seems a bit unfair to banjo him over an honest mistake.

I don't rate either party, but at least he seems to have an ounce of decency. The list of apologies Boris should give and never ever will is massive

Starmer will never have to apologise over policy errors because he never actually makes any decisions, however.

Good grief. He'd better not go anywhere near a mosque then.

Saw this  a couple of days ago. Thought then, what a pointless story. Simple poor oversight by his staff. If he was just visiting it as an inoculation centre it is no story at all and no need to apologise.
