That was Terry Burton.

Not sure it was. I seem to remember some of those were already sanctioned before he walked through the door. Might be wrong....

Are you sure? I could be wrong but I thought Garlick was there at the beginning of that Summer when we had allowed half the squad to be out of contract?

Oh don't get me wrong, he didn't do a good job. McDonut also had a role to play in that catastrophe. But he was never going to replace Ashworth, to expect him to was ridiculous, and was basically the cheap option.

I can’t remember who turned us down now and led to us appointing Garlick, and latterly Burton, but I’m pretty sure there was a pretty high profile DoF elsewhere said no.

At the time we should have moved heaven and earth to get Webber or Paul Mitchell in, as we’re within our means. Instead we didn’t get the first choice, panicked and promoted Garlick, who by his own admission wasn’t up to the overall task, and then appointing Terry for his football know-how backfired immensely.

I’m sure the contracts for AFI, Blanco, Samaras and Gamboa were typed very nearly and without a single spelling mistake mind!

Wasn't he demoted?

Clearly no idea or understanding of Garlick’s expertise in football if making statements like that.

WBA could have done with him for the last 2 years that’s for sure.

Great move for him and more like the role he had with DA, but this time with Edu
