Having EU Cake & Eating It
#21
The EU is a mess, a bloated, over regulated mess that will eventually collapse under itself.

My voting Remain, and distrust of leaving was never due to love of the EU, it's that I think the governments we keep voting in are incompetent and will be as bad as the EU, while removing the few benefits we get from the EU.

So far, I still that as being true.

I don't vote 'for my country'. I vote for me and my family only. I think my family will be worse off now Brexit has happened, so far no evidence has suggested different.

I am comforted that breaking multilateral agreements is clearly fine with the EU, then. Thanks guys.

I'm sure if Greeks elect a socialist government intent of breaking the stability pact it'll all be fine then too. Oh....

Depends on whether the Germans, French, Danes, Dutch and Swedes object again.

Any other false equivalences you want to throw out there?

When is a rule not a rule do you mean? When is a legally binding agreement not a legally binding agreement? When is a democratic mandate not to be respected?

More points we'll never agree on so you suggest false equivalence. I call it the thin end of the wedge.

It's quite obviously a false equivalence, you're comparing a situation where no member state objects to one where multiple ones objected. They aren't in any way, shape or form similar.
