Nothing to see here, nothing at all

For those driving the agenda it was about reducing financial, regulatory protections, and workers rights, shrinking the state and imposing libertarian values of selfishness, greed and binary worth based on earnings. By the use of pointing the finger at experts, liberal elites, immigrants, teachers, lecturers, judges and of course the EU etc they succeeded in creating a buffet of bogeymen figures that those who could be persuaded could vote ‘against’.

It worked, but the only people long term who will benefit are those with vested interests in the small state, low tax, deregulated economy that so many on the back benches of this awful government believe and have interest / benefits of becoming reality. Meanwhile it remains to be seen how far average people in the street can continue to believe or be convinced the bogeymen are still there working in the NHS, the Fire Service, in schools, across the channel, can n dinghy’s etc.

Belief is always a stronger weapon in persuading people to do something than reality, something the Remain side of the argument struggled to come up with a counter argument for.

Complete agreement there Derek.
