Group think on herd immunity
Refusal to learn from other countries
Care Home debacle
Allowing flights into the country from countries with high infection rates - we are now nearly world beating at this.
Lack of social distancing - We really haven't learnt from this even now

All these things and many more were discussed on here and a few of us were calling for us to lockdown earlier, criticising the idea of herd immunity and not learning from Italy despite blanket coverage on the news. It wasn't hindsight at the time and it's certainly not hindsight now.

1) Locking down earlier would not have made a difference dont forget the experts didn't think so. And Herd immunity was on the table

2) Nothing wrong with herd immunity. We missed the chance for this last summer. Vaccines come along and we still talking about lockdown, Deaths sadly was always going to happen.

3) Learn what from other countries?. Everyone locked down apart from Sweden and we still have covid 19 months later

4) Care Homes was really bad. Britain was not alone ask Cuomo

5) Would not have made a difference. It was seeded across the world and hit waves at different times. Closing the borders would have been a disaster

6) Well its funny that experts are saying Social Distancing has kept flu at bay. So we have been doing it. I know some zealots are desperate for mask wearing and social distancing to continue for another 6-9 months "To own the Tories"

The report is exactly that a report. Not really bothered about it but the left can pretend to care about the deaths when they just want Tories out cos of Brexit.

Laughable.
