Aged 80.

RE: Ginger Baker RIP - tiptontown - 10-06-2019

Certainly left his mark on the drumming world, although a bit of a headcase back in the day.
Rest easy fella

Big Cream fan back in the day before the music died.

How the hell did he get to 80?

RE: Ginger Baker RIP - Spandaubaggie - 10-06-2019

Just read his obituary- sounds a complete arsehole as a bloke, but no denying the talent.

RE: Ginger Baker RIP - Belfastbaggie - 10-06-2019

Remember seeing him at Colchester Corn Exchange in 1970/71 with his 'Airforce'...at 11 30pm management put all the house lights on..cue  25 minute drum solo!

RE: Ginger Baker RIP - throstle2000 - 10-06-2019

I have seen Clapton twice, once at the Royal Albert Hall, and once in Rome, seen Jack Bruce with Robin Trower in Rome, but Ginger Baker was the one that got away, RIP .

RIP Peter. Big fan of his.. proper Jensen driving jazzer with all the right influences and unparalleled technique in rock. Not a nice man but a great one.

RE: Ginger Baker RIP - col lard - 10-06-2019

I saw him in Cream, Airforce and Blind Faith. Great drummer but a bit of a knob by all accounts.

Saw the cream reunion tour. Even then he was a great talent. RIP.
