The overhaul of staff in stats - Spandaubaggie - 08-08-2019

Looked at the squad from last season, out of the 29 incredibly 16 have left, which includes Morgan Rogers.
Of course, as well as the players signed and on loan, the 9 of them, the academy kids of O'Shea and Ferguson are to add to the mix as well as Fitzwater and Wilson.
It's a huge overhaul- hard pressed to recall such a time.
Fingers crossed now.

Before we started to sign players I thought we needed to get 10 - 12 in, but today I'm happy with the 9 that we've got. And as others keep saying,it's likely that Barry will re-sign, so that would be 10.

Yes, somehow our homegrown talent seems to get overlooked, but I fully expect Ferguson and Harper to play a big role this season and O'Shea sounds like he's going to get a chance at some point too.

Also worth adding only 9 of the 18 who played the second leg v Villa are here now.

The average age of them has probably decreased by about 40 years!!

It will be interesting seeing the side on Tuesday in the cup. Think there will be a lot of kids/new faces as Bilic will want to see them in a "proper" game.

I'd imagine there will be starts for O'Shea, Harper, Diangana, Willock.

Probably Furlong too.

Aren't we currently one centre back injury away from O'Shea playing? I hope he's ready. Maybe Ferguson or Furlong would shift over.

Considering O’Shea had a storming season in the 3rd tier at Exeter, I think he will be given opportunities to see if he can make the step up.
