No Pyro? No Party? - JoeTheBaggie - 02-11-2019

What’s everyone’s thoughts on this?

I automatically think “dickheads” when opposition fans do it, but here I like it - or more the image.

They look great from a distance but I’ve been within a couple of feet of some pissed up twat on their mates’ shoulders waving the fucking things around at gigs and festivals and it’s not enjoyable. Came very close to being burnt a couple of times.

I was enjoying some of Stoke's corporate hospitality on Saturday so our seats were in the main stand.

When that blue flare landed on the pitch they were going apeshit around me  Big Grin

Leave it to the pro's, even the old sparklers can give horiffic burns.

When done correctly, usually supporters from foreign clubs (who support their teams far better than the English, by the way), it looks brilliant.

When done by one idiot in a Burberry hat, Burberry scarf and Stone Island jacket, it looks pathetic.

Of greater concern to me, is the fact these are banned in UK stadia, so if fans are able to smuggle such banned items in the stadium, what else can be smuggled in? In this day and age, a worrying and scary prospect…

Tick box exercise at our ground. Complete waste of time. I don't really see the point anyway. Why search people at football grounds but not as you enter shopping centres? If you want to cause carnage there are thousands of places you can do it.
