It's true the first poll should be a proposers poll to gauge apatite. That should be voted on and only if it passes should the motion be moved to a full poll.
There should also be a poll closing poll to define when the poll shall be called as final....otherwise hard voting polsters are left holding their johsons unsure about when the outcome is final.

I’d run a poll, campaign for an outcome, regret the outcome, blame it on a failure of statecraft, tell people I changed my mind but wasn’t wrong, then leave the country.
I’d then have the courage to lecture others.

I’d just mess it up, like last time. My phone hates running polls for some reason. Is it an iOS ting?
