Wrexham - Hughie Reed 31 - 02-12-2026

It’s reported on the BBC that Wrexham are now worth £350 Million
That can’t be right they are averaging about 11,000 crowds
Who makes up this shit?

RE: Wrexham - MrBater - 02-12-2026

Their global reach is now massive. It's ridiculous.

The TV show deal is probably worth loads.

RE: Wrexham - CarlosCorbewrong - 02-12-2026

That valuation is ridiculous - tv deal or not. Even if they somehow get to the Prem they won’t grow their fan base much. The south Wales fans will stick to Cardiff/Swansea and Wrexham aren’t going to pick up anyone is North West England. The TV deal for the Prem will just create an overspend on player wages.

Let’s say they’ve got revenue of £35m - who the fuck is paying 10x that for them? Especially when wages have to increase alongside revenue.

RE: Wrexham - Tom Joad 25 - 02-12-2026

Must be based on their illustrious history?

Yeah but for the tv show to be running they need the Hollywood boys, but to realise a sale, the Hollywood boys need to leave.

I’m out.

That won’t go down well if the Hollywood boys carry on taking £15m interest payments every year

Increased costs contributed to an overall loss of £2.73m, down from £5.11m in 2022-23. The club said that, after the accounting period, they had repaid £15.02m in shareholder loans and interest to Reynolds and McElhenney’s company. “This action will help facilitate the raising of funding to meet the costs of the club’s capital projects,” the club said.

RE: Wrexham - Old Fart - 02-12-2026

If you take the time to watch "Welcome to Wrexham" on Disney + this will come as no surprise.

It is well worth watching regardless of the football.  The fans have had a shit time of 15 years in the National League and were bust for years until the the Rob and Ryan duo turned up.

They then employed clever people in key commercial  positions.   and invested steadily and carefully and in effect have now turned Wrexham into a global brand.

People come from all over the world to buy a pint in The Turf pub where the club was founded.  Merchandise sales must be huge and the income from Disney will be substantial.

The promotion year with Ben Foster in goal is great viewing.

Putting aside any instinct to pour vitriolic envy on a plastic USA media inspired  bullshit fairy story, their fans are not dissimilar to us. They have had a load of shit to deal with, they have maintained the faith and truly love their club.  Any one of us could identify with the long suffering fans that feature in various episodes.

I doff my hat to manager  Phil Fucking Parkinson.  I doubted he had the nouse to create a winning team in this league, but take a look at where they are and where we are in the league.

Finally, what the media exposure has done for the town is truly inspiring.  Businesses have opened, the town centre is buzzing, there is a sense of optimism and any true football fan who had the piss taken out of them at the age of 6 because they did not support a Saudi mafia owned corrupt apology for a club, will look on with benevolent envy and wish them well.

It's on Disney+  it is a great watch.
