Last night - Ratings - Lurker#3 - 02-11-2026 MOL - 8 - Best GK performance for quite some time. Even with the occasional flap. Imray - 6 - 5 for 25 mins, 7 for the following 20. Right taken off to protect him. Has promise, but seems way off the standard required, which at 23 is a worry for him. Great attitude though. Phillips - 8 - Collosal, back to season start form. Blocks, interceptions, tackles, headers. Superb. Taylor - 9 - Solid both in and out of possession, Eric Peters-esque. But an extra mark each for the clearance and 'tactical foul' - Wonderful stuff, I cheated that rugby tackle harder than anything in recent months. Styles - 8 - All action, really developing into a really good full back. Wallace - 6 - Ran a marathon. Not much impact on the ball. Did his job really well off the ball. Molumby - 8 - Best performance of the season from him. Won so many tackles was disciplined in his positioning and played some very good forward passes. More of this please. Mowatt - 7 - So good to have him back, the amount of control he gives us is irreplaceable in our current squad. Jimoh - 6 - A few flashes of his undoubted ability without any real output, but far too often left Styles exposed and was not quick enough to sprint back. ER gave him a few tellings off. Need to learn that side of the game an quick. Would start MJ there next game. Price - 7 - I genuinely can't remember a player in recent times who covers the ground he does. Remind me of a young Jordan Henderson. And I think in time he will become that sort of player in CM. Heggebo - 7 - His hold up play is the best in the league. His physicality is superb. But can't score him any higher because as an attacking unit we didn't do enough. Subs: Gilchrist - 7 - Really solid and much better on the ball too. Could be the biggest winner of ERs coaching. Dike - 5 - Looks cooked mentally to me. So sad to see. When ever he jump he stops when he lands to see if he's okay. No pace, no impact. MJ - 6 - Worked hard defensively, we didn't have enough of the game to get him involved up the pitch. Diakite - 6 - Sured us up at a time we were getting completely overran. Job done Aussie. That should always be his role. Bielik - Not enough time. ER - 8 - Better balance to the starting XI, so credit for him trying to find those solutions. Also good responsive subs to how the game played out after their triple sub. Only negative was taking Heggebo off which meant we lost our outback and invited some pressure. But Birdy me ruined he had been struggling physically in recent weeks so will keep my powder dry. The last 2 games have looked very similar to those early days under CC. Players communicating much better on the pitch, staying organised and doing the really horrible things well. That's a big difference from at any point during this season. Changes needed in that front 4 though as it's not working enough going the other way. RE: Last night - Ratings - Man from delmonte - 02-11-2026 Fair summary and I agree with most of that but I think you're being very generous to O'Leary. He made a couple of good saves but his inadequacy on crosses can't inspire any confidence in the defence. If I were an opposing manager I'd be focusing on getting lots of high balls into our box as he looks terrified by that. I think you're forgetting Diakite's suicide backpass which could easily have been Swansea all over again. He's a player who serves a purpose but I wouldn't be taking up our option on him in the summer. As for Dike, I think even a 5 is generous. Across the last two matches he really has achieved nothing. He looks slow, ponderous and the ball never sticks to him. It's sad to see but I think Ryan Mason was right on this one unfortunately. I think Maja is going to be a better option in the run-in even is he's not exactly Mr Commitment. RE: Last night - Ratings - HeggebøsBarnDoor - 02-11-2026 I've never wanted a player to prove people wrong as much as Dike. The poor guy has had zero match time and needs to get sharper. I've got a hunch he's not done. Hoping he gets the nod in the cup. He will be more frustrated than anyone. I just hope he gets back to some semblance of the footballer he was. RE: Last night - Ratings - Birdman1811 - 02-11-2026 No one is enjoying Dikes demise, I'm gutted, but it's also no shock nor surprise. Mason messed up though not using him, because those two minutes every other game made it look dumb. It also burned Heggebo out which we're now suffering with. There also the argument some more time earlier in the season and he'sd have got his head up by now and be more effective. Ryan Mason in poor use of substitutes shocker! Yeah Mason's use of him never, ever made sense. If he isn't fit enough/confident enough, as we're probably seeing now, what's the point of two minutes? Give him 30 minutes, and give Heggebo rest. I think it was you or Lurker who commented previously on Carlos's wont to sub players on 55/60 minutes based mostly on fitness/tiredness levels. It seemed something like that with Hegg last night from Ramsay. Yes we suffered without his magnificent hold up play, but he needs more rest. Up front is a massive concern and one I'm surprised we didn't try and something in the window with a loan. To have Heggy, who is out of form and knackered from chasing lost causes and feeding off scraps, Maja who has his flip flops on, and Dike who is miles off the pace leaves us woefully short. We even lost Grant who can fill in there. We could really have done with another body up top. I don't think we have anyone at all in the U21's who is anywhere near ready either.
