Who would you vote for? Genuine question - PatelsPlatoon - 02-09-2026 First I'll declare no affiliation to any party. I'm a middle of the road liberal kind of guy. Way I see it though is the options at the minute are pretty awful whatever way you look. Labour- felt sorry for them inheriting a mess after years of austerity, but they have shown themselves hopeless for business, which is the bedrock to build the economy. Tories- caused most of the mess we find ourselves in with infighting and Brexit and they are in a terrible state and completely unelectable. Reform- Awful- by far the worst option. Farage is a chancer and will offer no solutions and just wants to do what Trump has. He's no friend of the country and only he and his mates would get rich if they get in power. He's also make the streets full of hatred. Hope he gets more exposed for the crook he is. A truly scary prospect. Lib Dem- nice enough, but not really ever going to get in power. Green- decent enough if you're a student, but a wasted vote really. Honestly, I think at this point I'd vote Labour again purely hoping they can learn from their mistakes. Starmer is certainly a more honest and decent man than the other party leaders and turning the country around after a mess created by banks, Brexit and Covid is akin to what Patel has inherited at Albion. Just wondering thoughts of more balanced posters. RE: Who would you vote for? Genuine question - baggy1 - 02-09-2026 Not certain I'd be seen as balanced due to my comments but I'd agree with your summation. RE: Who would you vote for? Genuine question - Baggiejacko - 02-09-2026 For decades my bit of Britain has got worse following election promises of the 2 main parties. The current bickering useless members of both seem the worst ever. Gamble time for me. If Reform are shite if voted in then so be it as the other 2 would be shite anyway. Nothing to lose as it'll stir the others into a game change to reverse the decades long downward trend. No doubt I'll be abused now while you clever types want the equivalent of an Alan Pardew contract extension. The Thick shall inherit the Earth. RE: Who would you vote for? Genuine question - tHEgLASSdOORS - 02-09-2026 It’s not really a gamble to vote for a party full of the people previously in charge is it? You’ll get exactly what we already know you’ll get, as we’ve already seen it. You know what the old definition of madness is… RE: Who would you vote for? Genuine question - Baggiejacko - 02-09-2026 Soldiers with a new battle plan hopefully. It's uncertain what they will and won't do but the other 2 are as sure as it can be going to be garbage RE: Who would you vote for? Genuine question - baggy1 - 02-09-2026 Reform are the party that asks most from their voters in the mental gymnastics arena. It's the 'it can't be much worse' attitude not seen since 2016 that gets me - it's not even ancient history. RE: Who would you vote for? Genuine question - Baggiejacko - 02-09-2026 It definitely would be a gamble voting for sTories or Liebour 2 negative comments from 2 people who won't say who they would vote for RE: Who would you vote for? Genuine question - tHEgLASSdOORS - 02-09-2026 It’s hard to take anyone seriously who refers to the likes of Jenrick as a soldier with a battle plan. I’d vote for Plaid Cymru.
