Completely correct assessment... - Lurker#3 - 01-16-2026 I have a really good feeling about this appointment. Not only do I like the system, I like everything he has said. And he has seen the game pretty much identically to many of us in here. Good, positive signs. RE: Completely correct assessment... - Birdman1811 - 01-16-2026 Agree totally Lurker. Tonight gave me confidence more than lost it. RE: Completely correct assessment... - Bob Fossil - 01-16-2026 (01-16-2026, 11:19 PM)Lurker#3 Wrote: I have a really good feeling about this appointment. It’s all about learning and that’s all we can ask after 3 days. Proof is in the pudding obviously but I fully believe we will improve under him, something which I never felt under Mason. Indeed and I don't think he said the word "moments", although someone might prove me wrong! RE: Completely correct assessment... - lemon - 01-16-2026 A post match interview which actually imparted some information. Thank you for telling it straight and I wish you all the best for getting a song out of this group very soon. RE: Completely correct assessment... - CIM - 01-17-2026 He talks well. Personally thought we were far too negative 1st half. Sat far too deep and invited them on. 2nd half, inspired by Wallace and Maja, we were much better. Pushed them back and played higher up the pitch. But for some reason (confidence?) after the equaliser we reverted to defending too deep, invited them on... and they score RE: Completely correct assessment... - ElbowGrease73 - 01-17-2026 He's a very impressive speaker, let's hope he can get this set of players believing and performing to the level they're capable of. He definitely will have learnt a lot tonight, and he'll evolve the team and squad over time. Lots of hard work required, but I think we're in safe hands in the long term. In the short term, it's a huge game on Tuesday, definitely one we can't afford to lose. Me too, especially as he wasn't afraid to tweak the system after their second. He's definitely way more astute than Mason ever was. After only 2 days training with this system, I too feel very optimistic. We beat Norwich and everything looks way better. Oh, and even Maja, who couldn't be arsed to break sweat under RM, looked committed after coming on. RE: Completely correct assessment... - Mouse - 01-17-2026 I got more positive than negative from last night. However, my big concern is not if he’s up to it, its did the club leave it too late to make the change. I just hope he’s got enough time to do his thing and get enough points to make sure we are comfortable.
