Manager buyout clause - MGalea - 01-16-2025

Surely they're looking to emulate the Corbs situation and find a manager that they can later make a profit on?

Would surely rule out the likes of Mowbs - although i'm firmly in the yes on that one.

That £2m from Corbs is pure profit and so eases the FFP a bit.

How much did Brighton get for Potter - £7m?

It's the new sliced bread I'm telling yous.

Mowbray only makes sense if it’s a sticking plaster until the summer to help us through what is proving to be a more difficult managerial hunt than anticipated.

You know how these things go though. We won't get rid of Mowbray if he does a good job and why would we?

Obviously this is assuming his health is OK and he wants it for more than 6 months.

If TM came after his management days are over he can have Pearce's job.  Big Grin

90% of managers get sacked as opposed to bought

Very true but the plan isn't to sack them.

Ideal hire would be an Alex Ferguson situation.

Next level would be Corberan - IE they leave because they've done well and we get some cash.

Statistically around 90% will be sacked inside 2.5 years
