Hoolahan - Borin' Baggie - 02-07-2019
Apologies if already posted. Thought he was fantastic last night, especially in the second half. Controlled our play and tempo, tracked back, crashed space and made a few very huge passes. Felt he's been underutilised but now we're out of the cup hopefully he can get some games under his belt.

I think he's a very good player that has been under-utilised.
When we're attacking he links the midfield with the attack and when we're defending he uses the ball smartly. I can't see him working in a midfield with Barry, but he should have had a lot more game time this year IMO. Should always be on the bench as a minimum.

Pretty, pretty but NEVER hurts the opposition. No strength, no legs to get away from anyone. He's a cosmetic player, looks good but totally ineffective.

Every appearance this season tell me one goal he's scored or one assist for a goal.
He's pleasing on the eye but pleasing on the eye doesn't win football matches.

This. He is looking for the incisive pass with no-one making a run. A couple of times we were attacking and either had no-one to pass to or first half played it into a forward (think it was HRK) who then lost it then they broke. Would be more damaging with Gayle in front but then how many minutes have they played in the same pitch?

If he'd brought him on at about 75 mins, when were still in front against Norwich, to steady the ship, I think, we may well have won.
