Sounds like Moore is off to Bournemouth. They are confident on landing Tom Lawrence from Derby too. They are tooling up for a fight for 2nd spot!
Lawrence was widely condemned on here when we were linked. Don’t want to see a single moan if he does go elsewhere.

Shattering blow and the worst we expected when he went on Saturday.
Unfortunately, most of our hopes of improving our dire attacking form rested upon his young shoulders so reverting the misfiring remaining strike force is not an option if we have any real ambition.
We need a quality loan in to cover but I won’t hold my breath.

Clearly these strong links were well before Saturday and it seemed like we would looking to sign two as we always needed. How a professional football club can think one striker is enough is beyond me but then I guess that's the situation at Man City and West Ham.
Problem being we've actually got THREE of the fuggers. One now injured, one uninterested and one just useless. Still got to pay them all though.

I‘’m sure Wolves enquired about him in the summer and that was the figure Cardiff came back with. I remember the Wolves fans were not impressed with the calibre of player they were being linked with as he wasn’t a 19 year old Portuguese World beater priced at £35m and one for the future.

This is so desperately unfortunate. We simply have to find a viable replacement from somewhere and preferably one who'll be here until the end of the season.
As for criticisms of Val for starting Dike on Saturday, imagine the outcry there would have been (probably from the same people!) if Dike had been left on the bench. He was probably only going to get 60 minutes anyway, so it's how bad our luck has been can't be overstated.
