Failed to score - Seat109 - 01-15-2022

Sadly for all the optimism of Dike the damning stat for this squad is failed to score in 9 games which makes the 11 clean sheets somewhat pointless, only Blues, Hull and Peterborough have failed to score away from home more times than us, QPR have only failed to score twice this season ( at least their fans have hope when they concede !), when 11 of our 31 goals have been scored in 3 games surely Val isn’t stupid enough to not do something different?

The only think that will change with Dike in is a new face to control balls pinging at 6’6” in the air or a hopeful ball over the top to run onto.

Posted this elsewhere.

Just a point here:

TGH - 7 games.
Furlong - A few goals in his career but not many
Clarke - No record for scoring goals during his career
Townsend - No record of scoring goals.
Reach - A few spectacular strikes in his career.
Molumby - No record of scoring goals.
Livermore- No record of scoring goals.
Robinson - Not prolific.
Phillips - Not prolific.
Grant - Decent record at this level.

That was today's team. In short we have a squad full of non scoring players throughout their careers.

Is it any wonder we can't score?

Recruitment?

Val isn't stupid ,I bet he couldn't believe  his luck when given a 4 Yr deal .Its just a job for him and he ain't going to walk when he can get a small  fortune if they sack him .Imo he is ignoring what our players can really do with his stubbornness to stick to his principles.
