I'd be happy (happy being a relative term obviously...) with setting them 100+ at least to show we're not there to get rolled over and to have some fight to take into the next test.

Pretty much this.
I'd love to think we could set 200+ and really test the Aussies, but I think the new ball will lead to our usual batting collapse. Pleased that we've showed some fight today, but we need to find a way of posting a higher first innings score to give us any chance.

Plus those missed opportunities to take Aussie first innings wickets. It's a recurring theme over there, normally before a thumping series defeat. For now, I'm trying to be optimistic these 2 can knock off the deficit and the rest can somehow set a target for our bowlers to work on. I'm backing that up with prayers for monsoon weather.

Dunno why guys bothered torturing yourselves, it was pretty clear before we even arrived in Oz the team/we were going to be a bit carp and probably weren't up to giving them run for their money.
