RE: Norway - Pipkins - 10-13-2021

The world is a bad place right now

Its almost like civilisation will eventually implode on itself

Last days of Rome?

RE: Norway - baggpuss - 10-13-2021

No, you just know about it straight away. When a man ran amok in the Malay Straits in the 1890’s killing many people you would never know. This is what has changed.

Precisely. Modern technology makes all of us film crews and journalists and social media spreads it like wildfire.
Take a look at any news stories from 30-40 years ago and we are much more aware now as we see bombs explode, planes crash etc.

The best thing that can happen to this planet is for humanity to wipe itself out. We are a vile species.

BBC are saying 5 dead now. R.I.P. to the victims of this lunatic.

As an archer this is even more shocking, I'm guessing he had a ridiculously powered compound bow. Arrows are not the one shot kill that is portrayed in movies and games, unless you hit a vital organ or something.

RE: Norway - GunsOfNavarone - 10-14-2021

Shopping in supermarkets during the lockdowns was a trial of patience but taking a bow and some arrows to my fellow shoppers never occurred to me. Good job I couldn't get my hands on a bloody machine gun though.

RE: Norway - SausEggBaton - 10-14-2021

BBC reporting appears to be terrorist related as suspect converted to Islam and had potentially been radicalised.
