Never really understood the Coldplay hate. I wouldn't pay to see them but they have several decent songs. In My Place is good. Suppose they could be said to be a bit dreary.

First two Coldplay albums are decent. I think they just became so ubiquitous so quickly that people got sick of them. Doesn’t help that Chris Martin comes across as very irritating with how earnest he is. That said they are still decent live, Lady D dragged me to see them at Glastonbury four years ago and I didn’t hate it.
I like Clocks or that one that samples Kraftwerk... think it’s called Talk....
