RE: It's The Ashes (again) - Cunninghamismagic - 07-06-2023 Dear oh dear RE: It's The Ashes (again) - ChamonixBaggie - 07-06-2023 Root out of the pavilion at 20 odd for 3. Again. He must be fucking sick of it Nice steady ton please Joe lad RE: It's The Ashes (again) - Pragmatist - 07-06-2023 (07-06-2023, 04:26 PM)ChamonixBaggie Wrote: Root out of the pavilion at 20 odd for 3. Again. He must be fucking sick of it Have I missed a wicket? 26/2 the last I saw RE: It's The Ashes (again) - ChamonixBaggie - 07-06-2023 Out of the pavilion ie on the pitch. Probably shouldn't have used the word out! I meant he must be sick of coming out with us 2 down for under 30 and expected to rescue us RE: It's The Ashes (again) - Borin' Baggie - 07-06-2023 That was Crawley's time, he'd made a good start. Just needed to get to close and move on tomorrow morning. But nope. Absolute waste of a spot in the team. RE: It's The Ashes (again) - Albionmad - 07-06-2023 Nothing shot from Crawley. Same old same old. A decent start but can't play a long innings. YJB making a great play of grounding his bat in the crease. RE: It's The Ashes (again) - SuperBob2002 - 07-06-2023 Walking wicket loses a wicket shock. But hey, at least his dad is mates with the selector so he's still guaranteed his spot, even though anyone with half a cricketing braincell can see he's nowhere near good enough. RE: It's The Ashes (again) - pindgill - 07-06-2023 The boy Brooks has been found out lost his confidence needs to be sent back to his county & find some form!!.. RE: It's The Ashes (again) - Cheshire East Baggie - 07-06-2023 (07-06-2023, 02:25 PM)Cunninghamismagic Wrote: Not sure dropping Tongue was wise. We seem to be relying on geriatric bowlers. Picking Anderson for the first two Tests looks like a bad idea now. Woakes is never fashionable, but he offers more than Jimmy these days. I don't think the "geriatric" bowlers have let us down at all. Wood's pace was electric, his fifer fully deserved. Robinson is a serious concern. He is only 28, rarely bowls above 80mph and is prone to minor injuries. The selectors love him, but I really don't see him as the new Stuart Broad. He's no quicker that Broad even now and will never play the number of matches. I'd rather see the likes of Potts and Tongue being given game time, and Mahmood when he's fit. May come good. Bazball only however, who is now facing the realities of test cricket. Bar one innings he flopped in the IPL too. False dawn? |
