Possibly and seems logical.

@WBA is pushing for a loan from Habib #Diallo

?️ But "our main option is a transfer"

?️ The firm but optimistic response from Philippe Gaillot, the sporting director of the @FCMetz

It was said initially they had offered him to us as they're in the mire - 5m loan - repaid if we went down???  (how if they're going bust?)  Didn't make sense then or now.

We'll find out in the next 104 hrs.  Still don't believe our main target is in the 'public domain', just as Ivanovic wasn't, Rondon, Pete etc...

Just 4 more days of this boring annual ritual that keeps the media circus in a kind of job.

Only 3 months to go until the Jan window opens when our main target will be Grant .Big Grin

Nah, he'll have signed for the Seals  Big Grin

SQUAD deficiences going into the last few days

Goalkeeper....I won't waste my breath

Right-back/RWB in a 3-4-3....looks glaring at the moment

Left back/LWB - ok if Gibbs is fighting-fit - Townsend game, but not good enough...

Central defence - Ivanovic could be the man or a disaster.  Hegazi, is he injured or on his way.  Not much experience here...

Right Winger - we only really have Hydropoolios Phillips

Defensive Midfield - bit lightweight if Livermore gets injured/suspended

Strikers - Robinson will produce the odd cameo (and was brilliant against Chelsea) but is not the long-term answer.  Our 3 so-called strikers are not up to it, though Kanu will probably remain.  Need two - would be happy with Grant and Deeney but I think the club are more ambitious.

A lot of work to do and Slav has said "one more" signing, so a slight concern.   Angel

I reckon another 3 or 4.

RE: Summer Transfer Window Thread - MrFizz - 10-01-2020

I am awaiting another Dowling masterstroke. Not ITK.

I hope you're right. I hate this time of year - it's like I spend all summer looking forward to it then remember how shit it is.

Striker you reckon Fizz?

£11m bid rejected for Niang, Rennes want £13.75.  Also wanted by Torino.  Bad, bad biff!

Could be. Probably on a play-now-pay-later basis!

I guess we can’t sign Niang and Grant at the fees quoted.
I think Niang would be a better fit for us stylistically, but Grant is probably better from an attitude, cost and longer term stability.

I still think we’ll get 3 more players in, with a host leaving... a coupe forward players and another fullback.

RE: Summer Transfer Window Thread - Babel - 10-01-2020

A DL striker and a Ghia striker.
An L defender.
A 4wD goalie

Five outs from the forecourt

RE: Summer Transfer Window Thread - wba13 - 10-01-2020

Luke Hatfield doing an inside track on M’Baye Diang why not our player unless he knows something we don’t. Just seems strange. Mind you it is the express and dingle so he has probably got f all to do.

RE: Summer Transfer Window Thread - Sliced - 10-01-2020

We've had a 11m bid rejected
