You think Streeting, Lammy, Nandy and Benn are bad choices or right wing? I struggle to remember someone that has posted so much on here without ever providing a solution or workable idea. Mandelson was a bad shout but compared to the previous cabinets full of shysters I’d say you are playing at par on this one.
You completely missed me say ‘in No10’ then. Starmer and McSweeney should go, if this was Johnson and he had employed someone with the history of Mandelson you’d be all over this, instead you play it down with a ‘bad shout’. I can’t take your opinion seriously anymore, you are so biased.

I agree with that point - it’s blatantly obvious how unfair the loans system is and is an easy win to put right. Doubling down is stupid.

Hardly biased to not want change unless someone shows me an option. Johnson was the story and the reason he had to go, he was the bad ‘un. You really need to start giving us the options out there, and before you shout ‘Burnham’ you need to give me some of his policies that he’d bring along. We can’t keep going on with changing managers / PMs for the sake of it, you need to start giving an opinion beyond ‘I don’t like’ to be taken seriously.

Perhaps because they're terrified of "reform" making the situation worse. They've already managed that with pensions, Business Rates, National Insurance, BPR / APR.

I'm not sure that makes sense Proth and pensions haven't got worse definitely (mine have all risen considerably in the last 12 months). You'll probably have to explain what you mean by worse. They've also reduced NHS waiting lists, brought underperforming train companies into private ownership, reduced immigration, brought stability to the markets, reduced heating bills and interest rates, introduced new workers rights and many more: https://fullfact.org/government-tracker/ . Amazingly a lot of that doesn't make the press for some reason.

But back on poi t. Mandelson is a wrong 'un. Needs chucking out of the Lords and a criminal investigation should be launched. People are way too accepting of corruption (if that's the case). Read the Brum Dispatch enquiries into local councillors for example. Standards must be enforced stringently. At present, it's looking like every man for himself.
