Oooh, what did he play?

A mix of stuff. I prefer his songs from the 70s and 80s, not so much his later stuff. He had a full band and it was a very tight, professional performance with a medley of hits at the end including I saw The Light, The Last Ride, Hello it’s Me and Can We still be friends.

Seeing Sunday (1994) at Gorilla in Manchester on Thursday then got Peter Hook and White Lies (both at Coventry Empire) this weekend.

Hope Morrissey turns up for you, he seems to be canning a lot at the moment.

Haven't seen HoL since Terry Bickers left! Didn't realise they were out and about, I'll have to have a look for them.

My next is LuvCat on Monday and then Wet Leg the Friday after.

I'm sure I read Moz had cancelled over 40 gigs this year! He really is a joke. I'm always very dubious these days about booking to see him outside the West Midlands but the setlists for his recent US gigs really do look excellent. If he does that (and actually turns up!) it'll be well worth going.

Given a free ticket for Half Man Half Biscuit last night at KK'S. They were ok though I might have enjoyed it more had I not found myself yet again next to a gaggle of blokes talking throughout it all (though bizarrely not between songs). I reckon someone must pin a sign on my back saying "annoy this twat".

Less than two weeks until the Radiohead double header.

Looking at the Madrid setlists has got me ridiculously hyped.

I sure do. Friday and Monday.

I got tickets for one night then a mate got tickets for another.

I am still gutted that I haven't got a ticket. You getting 2 not helping my mood on it!

Jammy bastard!

Just in the interests of steering this thread in a different direction - Lucrezia Borgia by Donizetti at Teatro del Maggio Musicale in Florence next Sunday. Don't often get the chance to see operas outside the "top twenty" crowd pleasers. Pure chance that my wife spotted this.

RE: Next Concert Thread - Man from delmonte - 11-12-2025

Really busy spell coming up. Seeing The Chameleons in Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester, Sunday (1994) in Bristol and London, Jim E Brown in Birmingham and London, Starsailor, Cast, Betty Boo and Ciel over the next 11 nights.
