with one you are dealing with a company that has a high profile, proof of funding and regularly donates to the local community. With the other, no one is quite sure. Sound familiar?

I thought the Egyptian lad had been pretty much ruled out, according to the ITKers - US and Nigeria in the running only???

The Patel family sound ace on the face of it.  But with that sort of money you can afford good PR!

he does have history with the lawyer who was seen at wba, they tried to bid for Charlton.

Is Farnell the same sports lawyer who’s been seen at recent games?  I thought that was a different lawyer.  I think Farnell was disqualified as a director at one point

Thankfully not.  Done a couple of deals with CF. Largely a self publicist with a real mixed bag of clients

Is he a goofy Zambian?

According to Matt Slater at the athletic, the front runners are the Egyptian Mohamed Elkashashy and lawyer Chris Farnell. Hopefully he’s wrong and it’s the Americans

Having already failed a fit and proper test I think you can probably rule that one out

RE: Takeover - Psalm23 - 01-12-2024

The Athletic also say that "Patel’s bid is the one seemingly backed by MSD Partners, the Baggies’ biggest creditors."

I'm no finance professional but I'd imagine the bid that is backed the people we already owe money to would be the most credible link, no?

Sounds positive:

You can change whatever part of the world that you can touch by running a business, whether that’s making the lives of your employees better doing something that’s meaningful to customers or providing access to a good or service that wasn’t there before,” Patel says. “These are the changes that I feel are important to me.

Sounds like a load of bollocks to me.

They could take us back to the top of the pyramid

Are they in de-Nile over the Egyptians?
