Caught the end of a talksport interview with an aussie ex cricketer (I missed His name) and he said the older cricket fans in Aus felt it wasn't in the spirit of the game and has tainted the victory whereas the younger fans think it was the right thing to do.

It's going to add some serious spice to the next test and I can see Bairstow and Broad definitely trying to even up the score with something similar now.

Will England recall Wood, if fit, and tell him to bowl 95 MPH  bouncers at certain Aussie batsmen ? Wouldn`t mind seeing Warner / Labushagne / Smith   cop a few. It could work badly though, their quicks are better.

In this case because he left the ball, he just assumed the ball was dead, when clearly it wasn't. Carey didn't hang about he caught and immediately threw the ball at the wicket.

For my money there is too much of fielders taking a shot at the wicket trying to catch the batsman out of their crease. But it seems to be a thing these days.

And if you want to stop what Carey did from happening again, make it a rule that a stumping can only be legal if the fielder is holding the ball when the bails are removed.

Ted, you know perfectly well that the Aussies objected to being verbally abused as they walked through the Long Room back to their dressing room. Nowhere else in top level sport can the public get so close to the players. If MCC members can't show a bit of decorum in that situation, then maybe MCC will have to change their rules and keep the members away from the players.

No, because he wasn't attempting a run. I think Shabs has come up with a good solution there.
