RE: Heggebø - Josh1873 - 09-14-2025 I mentioned on the match Fred he doesn't get half the fouls he should. The amount of shirt pulling defenders get away with when he's holding the ball up is criminal. He's a great asset at buying a foul in the final third. With our defensive players who are very capable in the air, we should be making more of those set piece opportunities. It's definitely something we need to work on. Heggebø's hold up play, and that ability to buy a free kick, will be invaluable on the road, in relieving opposition pressure and taking the load off the defence. I like the kid and I hope he comes good but he's never been a goalscorer, even in the poor Norwegian league. RE: Heggebø - Hughie Reed 31 - 09-14-2025 I like the lad never hides, but he’s in the team as a centre forward So must get goals which so far he hasn’t In his defence don’t think the system we play is helping him Need a big lad up front with him then he probably would score some goals Does anyone know how his previous team played system wise? RE: Heggebø - Josh1873 - 09-14-2025 A team needs to score goals. The striker they start doesn't necessarily need to. This expectation on Heggebø to score goals is a little frustrating to me. He's never, ever, going to be a 20 goal a season forward. Nor does he need to be. His game is clearly a hold up forward that brings others into the game, therefore I expect our wingers and attacking midfielders to chip in with more goals this year than he will, which is fine. RE: Heggebø - BaggieJay - 09-14-2025 Maybe Haaland can teach him a few things on international training. RE: Heggebø - Lurker#3 - 09-14-2025 You can't expect to score goals if you don't create good, clear cut chances regularly. We play so many progressive passes, so many key passes and have enough shots. The issue is the type of chance we create, they are always low value chances that rely on a top finish to be successful. If we start to create good openings and Bo keeps missing chances then we can all discuss his lack of finishing. But at the moment he is having the ball fired into him, back to goal, and we are creating very little for him to finish. Maybe in the budget he’s the best option but it’s fair comment to say if he’s up to speed Maja should have a run of starts RE: Heggebø - HawkingsHalfpint - 09-14-2025 Josh Maja had scored several goals by this stage of last season. On the strength of yesterday’s showing it is time to drop the Norg. It’s great that he works hard, but my fucking window cleaner works hard also, he’ll never win anything. RE: Heggebø - Derek Hardballs - 09-14-2025 Ffs the player has been a major reason we have started so well this season. The criticism because he hasn’t scored currently is over the top to say the least. Go back a few pages he’s getting praised, one defeat and he’s a waste of money, can’t score, should be dropped. |
