10 days ago, I’m willing to bet that only a very small handful of Albion fans even knew who Raphael Wicky was. Now, because his prospective assistant turned down the move and collapsed the deal, I’ve seen some of our ‘fans’ comparing Patel to Lai and saying that Nestor isn’t who he says he is, should leave the club, etc. Then you have the conspiracy theorists saying there must be more to it and it’s all the club’s fault.
Again, this is all because of a bloke none of us knew little more than a week ago no longer joining the club.
Please can someone reassure me that these people are little more than a vocal minority of our fanbase and that the rest of us still have some perspective?
The sun will rise tomorrow, West Bromwich Albion will still exist and, sooner or later, we will appoint a new head coach following a well-run, in-depth recruitment process.
Everything that I have seen in here seems to be the usual piss taking. Don't know what other sites you've been been looking at. You get a better class of loon in here.

Which is fair. I have seen some negativity on here, but in truth the majority has been on Twitter, so I should know better…the reason I joined this site was to find the better class of loons!

Ay it.
Personally, I've never been excited about any manager that we have appointed. So I agree with you. My approach is that we will get who we will get and I hope for the best.I
Signing of players is rather more exciting. But I can't recall being excited since we got Kanu and Gera. It's Albion, it's always hope over excitement

Yeah it’s a fair comment re: socials - my expectations of Twitter’s clientele was set far too high so it’s my own fault. Lesson learned.
Still, if I don’t use Twitter, how will I ever get my ITK news…see, even I can do tongue in cheek!
RE: The managerial shortlist - Lightnin - 01-13-2025
The job was Wickys, I actually think it still could be too but we’ll no doubt have a new favourite in the betting tomorrow

Maybe this is a Neil Young/Glastonbiry situation where he’s out one day then signed up the next.

For what it's worth, someone will walk in like a hurricane and quickly become helpless. But dont cry no tears if its Mowbray. Happy clappers are expecting to fly. I think we'd be fuckin up and a heart of gold is just not enough.
