I’m not sure Billy. Sheffield side of things have said in the region of £3m.

It just shows how difficult this transfer window has been in that we needed to retain 4 key players before adding to what we finished with.

I genuinely hope we have a surprise up our sleeve even if it means letting someone who we wouldn’t allow ordinarily at this point in time.

I think we genuinely need a further two forward options (Grant and AN Other). Whether it will only happen if we shift on Austin, HRK, Phillips or Hegazy remains to be seen.

Odemwingie came out of nowhere many years ago. Just maybe, just maybe we have a surprise up our sleeve

I read something that suggested no cash, just that there could be in add ons. not sure if we've got any add ons on the Burke side of things!! ha ha ha ha ha!

RE: Summer Transfer Window Thread - Psalm23 - 09-16-2020

If we've paid £6 million for Robinson, & got Burke off the wage bill it's still a great deal for me.  FFS     Rolleyes

If only we could repeat the miracle with Zohore.

Krovi -

‘Benfica crashed out the Champions League tonight. Spent £72m on transfers this summer, now facing up to a big hole in their budgets & need to sell to balance the books.’

Think this could work against us...  Krov has no future there under Jesus, they just want to get the best fee they can and whereas previously they'd have been open to a loan, I imagine their lack of CL money will mean they'll be pushing for an immediate sale and as much of the fee as they can get in advance. Whilst they'll probably accept a reduced fee vs. what they were asking previous, it's likely to hit our budget harder this year.

Also talk of Jesus not being happy - he's allegedly paid an absolute fortune and annoyed the club pulled out of the Cavani deal so if that relationship worsens, we may find we're dealing with a new management team!

Zohore will probably be ok at Sheff Wed if he goes there

I've repeatedly said the same about Burke.

There's obviously something wrong with the lad.  God help him at Sheff U in that brutal environment, can't see him lasting long.

Who do peeps think our primary target is?

We bid for Deeney in Jan 2018, Morelos in Aug 2019 and Grant in Jan 2020.   We always tend to have very long-term interest in players and stick with it.   It was mentioned the other day that we've been after Gallagher for years.

Mandzukic:  clearly Bilic is a positive influence on the possibility of that happening.  Can't see it,  BUNK!
