Could only be left back, we have ample stock at left wing with Grant, MJ and Bany.

If it happens then it would suggest Mason favours a solid back 4.

For me it's just a question of cost - depending on his salary demands. Every penny we spend has to add value, and if he's looking for £10k/wk, it makes sense to spend £500k on a 12 month deal for him,  but if he's asking for £20k/£30k... I'd rather we invested that £1m in a transfer fee for a younger player with much lower wages.

I echo those thoughts. 
Can't see him accepting 10/12k per week and he will almost certainly will be looking for at least a 2 year contract.
