Looked decent in limited games I saw Orient last season and seeing QPR struggled for goals last season, I’d be surprised at this one unless they think he’s no good!

Has age on his side but has never looked capable at this level before. Playing up front is the ultimate confidence position, loads of goals last season could see him be a different player this time around. I can't believe QPR wouldn't want to take a look at him for themselves, nor can I see us immediately stumping up the amount of money that wouldn't make them think twice.

I'm always very wary of signing strikers who have had 1 good season and nothing else. Like you say he'd not done anything before last season in League 1. If he's cheap (both fee and wages) then maybe worth a punt. My guess is we'll have Maja, Dike and probably Lankshear so he would only be a back up.

Hardly inspiring after last season and waste of a decent amount of budget potentially.
Surely not as a first team starter ?

Free transfer and 2 years makes sense for Holgate - can play several positions, and offers something our other defenders don’t, it also allows us to use the Taylor money (if rumours true) elsewhere on the pitch.

Not inspiring, as it’s another decent wage for a player in his late 20s.

If true on Holgate I hope it’s as a right back, I like him there but as a centre half he has to many brain farts.

Just some ITK wannabe wanting attention

Holgate is a no from me. Had 2 chances now and not pulled up trees. Should be able to get better for less wages and better potential sell on.
