Tend to agree. That languid style of his does make him look slower/clumsier than he actually is RE: ' Transfer Speculation Thread ' - Remi_Moses - 06-29-2025 As long as we get a large sell on fee. It's probably good for us and him. RE: ' Transfer Speculation Thread ' - SW4Baggie - 06-30-2025 No one likes to see a highly rated young player leave before he’s had a real chance to stake a claim, but raising £3M for Taylor and spending £1M on Phillips (admittedly if we go up it’s £3M) is the type of business we have to do. It also gives us a couple million pound wiggle room to push harder on any potential fee for Fellows. Taylor may well go on to be a very good CB but last season and this one was always going to be about overcoming our wasted millions under Lai and co, and as such we will have to make tough decisions in the short term that may not seem the best in the long term, but that’s just where we are right now . RE: ' Transfer Speculation Thread ' - Ted Maul - 06-30-2025 Kesler-Hayden, often touted on here, signing for Cov for £3.5m. Good signing. We still seem to prefer older players to giving our young players a chance RE: ' Transfer Speculation Thread ' - Lightnin - 06-30-2025 (06-30-2025, 09:14 AM)Ted Maul Wrote: Kesler-Hayden, often touted on here, signing for Cov for £3.5m. Good signing. Replacement for Van Ewijk who is apparently off to Fulham. Agreed though, that’s how clubs should model themselves. Buy potential, hope it works out, sell for more. RE: ' Transfer Speculation Thread ' - tHEgLASSdOORS - 06-30-2025 Brooks will be a decent addition if it comes off RE: ' Transfer Speculation Thread ' - Ted Maul - 06-30-2025 (06-30-2025, 10:46 AM)Lightnin Wrote:(06-30-2025, 09:14 AM)Ted Maul Wrote: Kesler-Hayden, often touted on here, signing for Cov for £3.5m. Good signing. Didn't know that about Van Ewijk. KKH not as good, yet. He would be a great signing just cant see there being any truth in it RE: ' Transfer Speculation Thread ' - Lightnin - 06-30-2025 BBC sport gossip has us linked with a move for QPR forward Charlie Kelman. He was on loan at Leyton Orient last season where he bagged 21 goals. Looked decent in limited games I saw Orient last season and seeing QPR struggled for goals last season, I’d be surprised at this one unless they think he’s no good! |
