Heard off a very reliable source (no names) Karlan Grant is a done deal. Had his medical last Sunday and terms agreed. The £17m is a smokescreen for Huddersfield to not upset their fans and make it look they are trying to keep him. Trust the process

Sounds likely. We’re just happy to have his medical done, terms agreed etc and not have him available to train or play in order that the supporters of another club are appeased?

Yeah that makes no sense.

RE: Summer Transfer Window Thread - Psalm23 - 09-10-2020

It sounds like total bollocks, & most likely is.

Sale with a buy-back is becoming more preferable to loans - players tend to develop better when they're formally at a club, the club get a lump sum, and know they're protected should they want to bring said player back, and as Chelsea are now finding, with the cash crisis it's making it difficult to move on the army of players they've stockpiled.

I'm sure Klopp has said many times he's happy to keep him and rates him highly, but he wont get a lot of game time over the next couple seasons with Liverpool so makes sense to take some cash and let him flourish elsewhere.
This season's Solanki?

Solanke’s only first team football had been a bang average season in Holland.

Quite how he went from costing £3m, playing 20 games with 1 goal, and then selling for £19m needs investigating. Corruption and brown envelopes AOTS surely... this is on top of the £15m and £6m they paid for Ibe and Brad Smith whove just been released.

Liverpool got £40m off Bournemouth for Ibe, Solanke and Smith...

RE: Summer Transfer Window Thread - Super_Slav - 09-10-2020

Sheffield United local press reporting we paid £3m + Burke

The Star understands United collected nearly £3m, in addition to Burke, when the deal which saw the two internationals swap clubs was processed

RE: Summer Transfer Window Thread - MrFizz - 09-10-2020

£3m + Burke = Zero. GCSE maths ay it. Adding a negative turns it into a negative. Or summat.

Have been told that Bilic wanted to spend the GD money on other areas of the team but Dowling wanted to please the masses.
