TM managed him at Blackburn and at Coventry so maybe isnt as far fetched as it may seem

Not sure our finances can stretch to Armstrong

The other clubs Armstrong publicly linked with have both just signed or are in the process of signing strikers so we seem well placed. It'll be a loan if it comes off.

That would be a cracking signing. He's the classic 'brilliant in the Championship, not good enough for the PL' striker.

Agree 100%. Could be a just what we need.

AA would be superb - Mowbray Kevin Phillips as he’s a top class finisher at this level and could transform us.
Won’t hold my breath though !

Leeds in for Armstrong

RE: '24 Transfer Speculation Thread - baggiedave85 - 02-03-2025

AA would be a game changer - would certainly be worth an example gamble to get us into the play offs and then who knows.

Say he is on £50k per week assuming we pay 100% of wages, and we can get Grant out on loan and recoup say £15k on a loan deal, then a net 35k week outlay for 20 weeks to the end of June is not a huge gamble IMO

It's saying on the BBC website that Leeds are unlikely to sign anyone else. Apparently they were keen on Cameron Archer but that's not got to happen.
