They've just bought Sadiq Umar back from Sociedad. Big lad 6"4 who was on loan last year and made a big impact, nuisance and scored a few important goals. Might be just enough. Sounds like Carlos has been playing a team with the Spanish equivalent of Jed playing CF, his teams need a focal point. He'd have loved Heggebo!! I know it went a bit flat towards the end but he's a brilliant coach and we need somebody as intense, focussed, organised and disciplined as he was for players at this level. By all accounts a certain young Welsh manager has the same credentials.

Gaya scoring with 10 mins left after Getafe dominated the chances throughout.
Valencia held on.
Takes them out of the bottom 3 by 1 point, with Alavez still to play.

A bit of fortune to get Getafe at the moment - they’re a complete mess with kids in the line up and Bordelas in a war of words with the ownership. They’re in free fall.

If he's smart, his ever-chatty agent should be on the look out for a new job for him in the summer. He's taken Valencia as far as they can go under the current ownership. Surprised Burnley haven't sacked Parker yet, Corberán could do well there.

Interesting the positive impact a few new faces are already making. Young winger on loan from Leeds already has an assist and scored the 94th minute winning penalty.

Not sure I'd want to swap the delights of Valencia and electricity that 50,000 at the Mestalla can create for a season in the drizzle at Turf Moor.
