Batshuayi's Premier League scoring record is the exact sort of record we tend to spunk loads of money on... 8 in 48 for a team like Chelsea, is not very inspiring at all, mind you 5 in 11 for Palace is more like it. Not worth £25m in my mind though.

I'd like to get more excited about the prospect of Batshuayi, but as you say his record is pretty chequered and other than one blistering spell at Dortmund he seems to have made a career out of following Lukaku.
He's 26 now and hasn't really commanded a regular place anywhere... would certainly be a sign we had some money to spend, but not entirely sure he's the kind of player we'd want to be putting that kind of investment against.

I agree, not sure I see a £25m £80k+ a week striker here...

Batshuyi won’t be £25m - is in the last year of his contract, but the wages will probably be an issue. However, we paid more than £80k wages for Sturridge and Greg 2 seasons ago....
