This is key.
Surely we've been Albion fans long enough to know how it works. The vast majority of signings are not reported by the media and then seem to sign very quickly, whereas in actual fact we'd been tracking and enquiring for weeks it's just that no one knew about it. No one really knows anything outside of the people in our club. That's why you have to take every article and every "we've won the race to sign X" with a massive pinch of salt until they are wearing the shirt.

Palace on paper have signed well so far. Gallagher is a really decent midfielder who would have offered us something different. But I couldn’t see the club signing him and Krov.
When you look at it as much as it may hurt us, Ferguson in his mind has chosen a “better” team and more attractive proposition.

That was more tongue in cheek than anything, but I have to admit I am growing concerned ahead of this season.
We confirmed promotion 5 weeks ago, yet having lost Bond, Al-Habsi, Ferguson, Krov, Robinson and Grady we are weaker in every area than last season, and if I’m honest, I’m struggling to find many areas where we’re stronger than Norwich were last season.
Can say what you want about us doing business behind closed doors and keeping things a secret, but Slav wanted Eze, he wanted Robinson and he wanted Gallagher twice.

Indeed but we climbed the ladder and got some stability financially. I expect us to be relegated - too much to address and probably too little money/time. If we pull out some wonder signings that would be very welcome but let's keep perspective.

I get that good loans become available once the big boys strengthen. I get that we are in a pandemic and clubs have lost revenue so we need to tighten our belts but the inactivity is very worrying.
