I've worked since i was 10 if you include paper rounds, nearly 50 years later I'm earning and paying taxes without complaint. As I get more money the country gets a higher proportion than i do of the extra income - no complaints. I've worked hard and slogged away when I could have had it much better under a Tory tax break world. When I get lectured by fools with no answers on what is working it tends to feel personal, so when you've worked as hard and paid as many taxes as me come back and tell me I'm not working class. So out of all of the video you got a bit miffed about Pie not agreeing with your definition of working class, and you ignored the rest to have a regular ‘you haven’t worked as hard as me’ pop at me, despite not knowing me or me knowing you. RE: Has he gone yet? - tHEgLASSdOORS - 02-11-2026 Alistair Carns an interesting bit of noise RE: Has he gone yet? - Shabby Russian - 02-11-2026 (02-11-2026, 10:06 AM)Derek Hardballs Wrote:(02-11-2026, 10:01 AM)baggy1 Wrote:(02-11-2026, 09:39 AM)Derek Hardballs Wrote:(02-10-2026, 07:39 PM)strawman Wrote: You do know that Pie is a comedy construct and not a real person. I have no time for Starmer or this current iteration of the Labour Party, but this isn't a time for him to resign or be forced from office. The electoral system we use gave Labour a huge parliamentary majority at the last GE, less than 2 years ago. I think we won be better off as a country if we had a period of political stability and allowed the elected govt to get on with governing. They may prove to be very bad at it, and you would have to say that they haven't got off to a great start, but the idea that things would noticeably improve within 2 years was naive in the extreme. And I'm not sure this is a resigning issue. Appointing Mandelson as Ambassa Ambassador was a big mistake, not just because of his friendship with Epstein. But it's not a reason for Starmer to go. You should read Shabs response and then take stock. You come across as entitled and wanting something without knowing what that is, i'm old enough to recognise that as naivity. You can take that as a pop or someone just telling you to wind your neck in as you clearly have a very limited experience and view on life. You know satire usually has more insight on the reality of a situation than the bullshit that emanates out of Westminster don’t you? I mean it must uncomfortable for those who all nodded along in agreement and laughed when Pie was pointing out the failures of leadership and governance of the Tory Party but not so much now it seems. You can take this as a pop if you want… you imply arrogantly that not only have you worked harder, but are wiser, more intelligent and know more about the world than me. Don’t tell others to wind their necks in, you don’t know me and I don’t know you. For someone who thinks my posts are beneath them intellectually you seem very keen to reply to them, or even to posts I haven’t made but you have attributed to me. It must be all those years being so grown up! RE: Has he gone yet? - baggy1 - 02-11-2026 Arf, come up with any solutions or even suggestions for solutions and we'll take you seriously. 'Don't like' What solutions have you come up with? All you do is slavishly agree with the Labour Party or make excuses for them whilst criticising the previous government. You offered no ‘solutions’ to problems when the Tories came into power, you simply criticised them. The double standards are remarkable. List all those solutions you, not the Labour Party or others have come up with… or ‘wind your neck in’ RE: Has he gone yet? - baggy1 - 02-11-2026 You need to learn to read a bit - stability is what the country needs, and that includes not throwing your dummy out when something isn't perfect. Rebuilding the foundations through long term plans rather than 1 term 'solutions' that never work. And understanding that after 15 years of devastating our infrastructure it takes patience to rebuild it. Removing the liars and charlatans was step one - if you think Starmer is either of those then you are too deep into your own rhetoric to make sense any more. My longer term aim would be to reengage more with our biggest and nearest trading partner. It would help if you ever looked beyond a headline to get a fuller picture. 'Don't like' You seem to have a lot to say Derek, but you never seem to have any solutions. I don't know you, don't know what you do, but I'd bet a lot of money you work in the public sector and are completely unaware of how the world actually works outside that. Change takes time, a far left party will never succeed either as there's no appetite for that and those are two things you don't seem to grasp. The problems facing this country also are the same affecting many of a similar standing. RE: Has he gone yet? - Jacko - 02-11-2026 In and of itself Pie going after them should be a massive wake up call. |
