His time is up for me. And I realise that many of you were at that place a long time ago. Quite who appeals as a replacement is depressing

Surprised to see ITV lead on this ahead of Kirk but Jesus what a rancid gritty story

Any Labour Leader unwilling to address the fundamental problems facing the country was doomed to fail. I did predict on here that Labour would be the most unpopular government in history within 18 months. Constantly shooting yourself in the foot is not helping either.

Your view of the fundamental problems have never wavered whatever the government and for however long. The slashing and burning of the Cameron/Osborne government was exactly what you and the classical liberals were advocating at a time when Nobel prize winning economists were suggesting the exact opposite policy. This was the midwife of BREXIT and the economic and social divsion that has literally ravaged the country. You also gave your full throated support to a party that has never taken the responsibility for 14 of the last 15 disastrous years. It practically sent your mentor Steve Baker into nervous breakdown. As far as Mandelson is concerned I do feel some sympathy for him, he wasn't the most well known figure that was completely taken in by Epstein. If you don't undertsand how abusers like Epstein and Saville operate you don't undertsand anything. Don't forget your Maggie was taken in by Saville, should her remains be dug up and thrown in a skip.

Erm after his arrest he sent a fawning letter to Epstein saying how unjust it was and that he still supported him.

He was completely taken in by the bloke. The point I am making is that child abusers appear normal and likeable/loveable individuals, it's what they do, they are professionals. People are taken in by charlatans every day.

RE: Mandelson - Borin' Baggie - 09-11-2025

So the defence of Mandelson is that he's an idiot. In which case why is an idiot who can be easily be compromised by being too close to people who shouldn't be trusted an ambassador?

There's no doubt that he will be gone sooner than later now, but you misunderstand the nature of these people and paint this as black and white. There will be many more that will have been taken in by him and not all of them will be part of the child sacrifice lizard illuminati that are running the world.

Have you seen our politicians over the last few years. Boris was caught hungover in an airport on his way back from meeting a known russian spy - he still became the highest politician in the land.

Yes and you called him out time after time for his dubious morals and the company he kept. Now it’s Labour stalwart Mandelson defending his ‘pal’ after and despise being found guilty of trafficking and still currently being given the backing of the PM you’re making excuses for them both. I’m listening to 5 Live with a Labour MP saying not one other member he knows in the Labour Party are in favour of keeping him as ambassador. Sometimes it’s better to just admit this was yet another avoidable own goal by the OM and his advisers.
