I’d say most will be working up to and including Friday.   Then firms may close for Xmas and will re-open on Tue 2nd Jan. Meaning they will be closed for 3 working days (27th to 29th Dec inc).

There are only 3 bank holidays. In my day a bank would offer a full service, including corporate banking on all days. I've completed deals on the morning of Christmas Eve before now, FFS.

 I think New Wanker was referring to Duffer’s firm. Big Grin 

Between xmas and the New Year is a great time to get a shit load of work completed, as the emails and phone calls received are almost non existent.
