Interesting line in there about still being open to the Duffy deal. It mentions a loan, which I wouldn’t be in favour of myself. Using one of our two domestic slots on Deeney I can kind of see, but if we can’t buy Duffy I wouldn’t bother.
That said, interesting that another CB might still be on the radar. Wonder if Hegazi might be off by the end of the window, must be in his last year.

I think Kipre is v interesting AB Baggie. Not sure if you’ve accessed my link to smarter scout but he’s seen as a “similar playing style” to Thiago Silva/Vincent Kompany.
Bartley has 12 months remaining whereas Hegazi has 24 months.
I think Slav sees Bartley and Hegazi as having similar quality, wouldn’t be at all surprised if Hegazi is sold as he could command a fee of around £3-4m and Bartley may just run down his deal.
As for loans I’m pretty sure PL have changed the regulations with the amount including abroad. Will be interesting to see if Krov is a loan too.

Kipre strikes me as a bit of an opportunistic deal to be honest. He’s cheap, youngish and impressed against us last year. A bit of a punt.
Keep seeing people talk about this loan change but I haven’t seen anything confirming it. I feel like it would be a bigger deal and would have more coverage.
Last time I checked the rules the limit was only domestic, and I’ve seen nothing to suggest it’s changed (the latest PL handbook for 20/21 doesn’t include that section yet).
