It's an aberration we're below them in the first place without blowing that much smoke up their arses. After a shit season and two recent absolute pastings we took against "lesser" teams, it is a cause for fuggin elation. Blues have lost 1 game at home in almost 2 years, and have won 4 of their last 6… they’re not poor at all, and Stoke have the best defence in the division. It is a joke we are as low in the league as we are given just how poor some teams are this year, but after 32 games, we are where we deserve to be. Will 14 more 0-0s keep us up? RE: Birmingham City - West Brom Albion: Match Thread - tHEgLASSdOORS - 02-10-2026 I struggled to be positive about Stoke but there’s some definite shoots to take from tonight RE: Birmingham City - West Brom Albion: Match Thread - Birdman1811 - 02-10-2026 (02-10-2026, 10:27 PM)SW4Baggie Wrote:(02-10-2026, 10:15 PM)Sliced Wrote:(02-10-2026, 10:14 PM)Ted Maul Wrote: I know we need to take our medicine and accept this season is a write off but can we stop talking about sides like Blues and Stoke as if we've just snatched a point from Real Madrid. Maybe, just maybe, will mean a generally low total was needed, but it'll depend on Blackburn, Portsmouth and Leicester RE: Birmingham City - West Brom Albion: Match Thread - AnelkasBeard - 02-10-2026 Chris Davies talking absolutely bollocks. "It was definitely handball on Styles". No it wasnt you twat. Ramsay spoke well. RE: Birmingham City - West Brom Albion: Match Thread - Birdman1811 - 02-10-2026 Loved how the interviewer told him it wouldn't be changed, as it wouldn't and he carried on, prat RE: Birmingham City - West Brom Albion: Match Thread - Ted Maul - 02-10-2026 (02-10-2026, 10:27 PM)SW4Baggie Wrote:(02-10-2026, 10:15 PM)Sliced Wrote:(02-10-2026, 10:14 PM)Ted Maul Wrote: I know we need to take our medicine and accept this season is a write off but can we stop talking about sides like Blues and Stoke as if we've just snatched a point from Real Madrid. More than willing to accept we've been generationally bad but we've also not played one team this season that I've thought were good, that's how poor we've been. Middlesbrough a few weeks back were the closest to being half decent. When Mepham got injured, I said I'd rather see Gilchrist go in the middle over Taylor. However, Taylor was superb tonight. Other than getting distance on a long throw Gilchrist seems not to be able to do most of the basics. I’d leave him out of the picture completely with the others coming back. RE: Birmingham City - West Brom Albion: Match Thread - Birdman1811 - 02-10-2026 Gilchrist dealt with Gray quite well, he is very, very defensive though, certainly not going to add anything offensively. Hilarious how he was used as an example that Furlong wasn't any good by a few on here. Notice he’s talking about VAR giving the penalty never mentioned Phillips would also get a penalty For the Blues goalie taking him straight out |
