It is really.
However, political ideologies in the short run can be extremely damaging.
Problem I see is there’s a lot of unhappy people out there and looking for scapegoats. 
The strange thing about this brainwashed pal of mine is he’s actually very comfortably off financially. 
He’s a bit of a hermit though with a small social circle and an borderline alcoholic wife so I think it’s him taking his disappointment out on something else.
