Oh specifically you mean the Eritrean guy, he has made a claim that he is a victim of modern slavery. This is covered by a different treaty, the Palermo Protocol of which we are a signatory and yes the judge has only granted a temporary injunction.
However, he was not the only scheduled return. Of the 90 odd detainees held for the initial stages of this scheme they are expecting to receive or have received similar claims of trafficking and/or representations under Article 8 (ECHR) from over half.

Bet that took some diving into the 'we need to get rid of the ECHR' group WhatsApp. And they will all be processed in the standard manner, it is now simply a case of working through them. Don't worry, they're at the door and will be appropriately processed along with the 57k others that went in the year to June.

And a court win for SSHD. These 3rd country removals should be straightforward given the 3rd country is France. Hopefully this latest ruling will shut down the vexatious use of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 in relation to this policy at least.
