RE: The managerial shortlist - HawkingsHalfpint - 01-05-2025

The football might not be of Galactico proportions but if our fanbase are turning their nose up at David Moyes OBE, fuck me.

Eustace is now favourite.
Local bloke and I understand his family home is in Harborne.
Whoever it is, I think we’ll know next few days.

I think the punters are just following whatever’s put on social media and being such a small market a few tenners here and there are swinging the odds.

This has without doubt been the most confidential managerial hunt we’ve ever experienced - nothing has leaked at all.

I fully expect a completely unexpected name to be announced on the website at some point this week.

RE: The managerial shortlist - Baggiejacko - 01-05-2025

If candidates had been successful at previous clubs they wouldn't entertain the idea of coming for an interview. Our best bet is someone that has been underestimated in his work with an average or below squad and dumped. Other than that it's a lower league poaching gamble

Or achieving well with a bang average squad.

Ladies and gentlemen…. John Eustace.

Would ask the question what has Eustace achieved to date.

If we are going down the road of a more pragmatic approach, personally I would like to see more than he has done at Birmingham and Blackburn.
