Just like Roy, hindsight will show what a good manager we had who would have done really well if he had stayed.

I think it’s quite good evidence that he was straight out of the door at the sign of the first decent job he was offered.
In fairness, if he’d gone to Burnley or Palace, I’d have felt that way, but Valencia is one of the biggest clubs in Spain. It’s the equivalent of him leaving for Spurs or United right now. We can hardly accuse him of taking “the first decent job” - he was unlikely to ever get an offer from anything else that size whilst with us.

That's a good point.
I keep seeing the accusation CC wanted out. But so far no one has given any direct concrete evidence that was the case.
As far as I'm concerned CC was happy here, committed to the goal of getting us promoted, and wasn't actively looking for the exit. Valencia needed a manager and approached CC - the offer of managing such a big club in his own country was too good to turn down, and any reasonable person will accept that.
Those are the facts as I understand them, and I will believe the above to be the case until I see direct evidence to the contrary.

No need to be flippant. I'm not saying you have made it up. All I'm getting at is that there's nothing public to suggest the claims he wanted out are true. Until I see actual evidence, I'll continue to doubt the claim. That's just my stance. Nothing personal intended.
