It’s tactical switches rather than substitutions I’m talking about. We just don’t seem to able to spot (let alone react to) even the subtlest of changes from the opponents.

RE: Norwich FA Cup Match Fred - Derek Hardballs - 02-14-2026

The sad fact is our squad is very poor, disjointed and lacks any consistent goal threat or creativity. I understand we needed to reduce the wage bill but the money we have spent on replacements has been wasted. There isn’t one player and I include Price and Johnson that I’d say wouldn’t sell in the summer.

Not sure we have the ability to get out of this relegation battle because I’m not sure we can score enough goals.

The least said about the club decision making be it squad or manager this season the better.

Well at least it showed up a few things today
The guy who scouted Imray should be sent on his way the lads way out of his depth
Bielik this guy might be good in the changing room he should stay there not good enough
Mowatt not our answer to midfield problems hopefully move on at the end of season
Whitwell good technically but lacks pace good lower league career beckons
Maja roll on the end of the season bye bye
Diakike release at the end of season
Mikey Johnston if we get a good offer sell.

I’ve had it with so many of this lot

Some perspective needed here. We played the first half with a second or third string midfield. It was poor. We finished the 2nd half with a makeshift defence, and we paid the penalty. For the 30 minutes we had something close to resembling our first team goal we looked ok.

And I guess this is why we don’t see him more often.

At least Maja took his goal well today. That’s about the only positive.

100% - can't recall the last time I saw a goal like that from our forwards. Sure we're had poachers goals and midfield rockets but Maja's was nice and composed.

Shame he shat the bed on the other one a few mins later but hey ho.

And we looked the better side for a little while after.

But then, they made changes, meanwhile Ramsay consulted the Mason handbook, and sat back and watched. In terms of their ability to affect games while they’re happening, you can’t separate their inability. That’s been our problem all season and it doesn’t look like changing.

Hmmm - not sure what else he could do though really.

He'd bought on Mowatt, Price, JJ and Molumby. No other defenders to bring on. Could change formation but we know how that goes down.

If we had a spare right back and CB on the bench I would agree totally.

What is Wiiiams?

Didn't clock him on the bench. Can't imagine it would change the outcome however.

Agreed but he would have been better than Imray who on his first few games hasn’t got a clue how to defend.

And that’s that. 3-1. This moron is no better than the last one. I don’t know what our hiring criteria is but it must improve.

Grant you the manager looks out his depth ,but these players are getting away with murder. They are just not good enough and we have to except it .

Corberan seemed to be doing better with a seemingly similar side on paper? Granted, the pre-season losses were a big blow, but as Wolves have shown if you don’t strengthen where you sell, what do you expect?

Although he only won 3 of his last 16 games in charge.

For those who were prepared to look, the clues of how average at this level we had become were there to see that autumn.

The lack of goalscorers, our propensity to concede late goals and our inability to change games positively from the subs bench.

Corberan is a good manager at this level, and he had the ability to still make us hard to beat, but we were no longer winning games at the rate we needed.

This season the squad is weaker, quality players have left and not been replaced by players of the same quality, plus to be fair we have had a lot of injuries we can ill afford. And a muddled summer transfer window has left us vulnerable.

But we should still have enough to avoid relegation.

Though it would need a stellar summer transfer window to make us competitive in a promotion race next season.
