Not sure if there's anything to it at all - but seen one or two mentions on twitter of us being linked with Alex Robertson - kid at City.

West Brom, Stoke City, & Sheffield United are interested in Leicester City striker Tom Cannon, according to Alan Nixon.

Struggled at Leicester but was excellent at Preston on loan.

Adds something different to our arsenal.

He didn't really struggle for Leicester, unless you mean struggled to get in the first team. When he played he was good, he's highly rated by Leicester fans but was always gonna struggle to get in ahead of Vardy, Iheanacho and Daka in a team that only played one striker.

I just meant he struggled to break into their team Slice.

I really like Cannon, he’d be fantastic for our side… can do all the dirty work but fashions his own changes too. His spell at PNE was really impressive, shame he will be financially out of reach on a permanent deal

Robertson was excellent for Pompey last season too… would be a nice loan addition!

He is joining Cardiff I think?? Cardiff assembling a decent squad this summer.

Stoke City, West Brom and Cardiff City are eyeing moves to sign Cyprus international defender Stelios Andreou.

The 22-year-old, who can play on either side of central defence, could be available for as little as £1.25million this summer.

With two years left on his current contract with the Belgian Pro League club, they are considering cashing in now before his price dips.

If nothing else, maybe we can learn from them Big Grin

6'3.... with him, Ajayi and Bartley back there, and Palmer in behind we'll have a fair few monsters.

Are financial rules different in Wales? Cardiff seem to be in for everyone!

They were in a similar boat to us. Last relegated in 2019 after 1 season in the top flight. We went down 2 years later in 2021. So that suggests they're two years further on than us in recovering from a PL relegation, this is backed up by fact that after this season and next we will be in a position to be allowed to make some bigger losses again under FFP if the next 2 seasons are managed well financially.

Correct - about 2-3 seasons ago they had a huge turnover of players with some real championship journeymen coming in on short term deals, and flirted with relegation whilst they dealt with the fact they’d gambled heavy in their first season after relegation but bought very poorly.

They now have some wiggle room to spend, hence bringing in a little more quality in the last 2 windows.

Cant see us paying that amount for a CB - wouldn't be shocked to see a new CB but would expect LB/CM/LW are the most likely we would buy given the gaps in the squad

Would be a strange one as he's roughly the same age as Taylor. But, with Heggem looking like he might slot in at LB we are short across the back line.
Any full backs in the U23's with potential?
