So basically of players that jumped 2 leagues and became a success in their first season we have......Dele Alli who jumped to the Prem, Jamie Vardy and Dwight Gayle who jumped to the Championship? Any others Ive missed?

No one is saying players can't move up the leagues. That's ridiculous. Every footballer has moved up the leagues, whether it be from League One To Championship or Youth Football to First Team. The issue is when we're expecting players to make that jump without any opportunity to vet them in properly. As I said earlier there's nothing wrong with signing players from League One. However we should also make sure we have enough in our squad so that we're not reliant on someone who we assume will be able to score against PL quality defenders just because they got a hat trick against Tranmere Rovers. The fact that our budget is around 25m and Posh are asking 10m means we shouldn't be progressing. For a few million then fine, as long as we bring in another 2.

Noone is doubting there are players who have stepped up from lower leagues... the issue is very few have stepped directly from League One to the Premier League.
I'm sure there are probably 50 players in Leagues One, Two and the Conference who will at some point play in the PL... but to go directly from League 1 the PL is exceptionally rare, and it's even rarer they make an immediate impact.
