RE: UK Covid death toll - Derek Hardballs - 09-08-2020 (09-08-2020, 01:17 PM)baggiebuckster Wrote: It seems totally random at times. I agree the rules are AOTS and my cynicism of this government intentions and ability led me to believe we were on our own from a safety point of view from the outset. Two Primary schools have shut already in our area they haven’t been open more than a week. This is a complete mess and as of tomorrow my sons school are all wearing masks outside of the classroom. RE: UK Covid death toll - baggiebuckster - 09-08-2020 I assume the headteacher has made that decision? This is my point - if the science is so strong then it should be compulsory and not leaving the decision up to a headteacher. If I was a head then I would be making the masks mandatory purely to protect my own backside. That can't be the right way. RE: UK Covid death toll - baggiebuckster - 09-09-2020 Oh look - Hancock on radio this morning stating that if more than 6 people gather together in a pub then it is the pub's responsibility. Another pointless rule from this bunch of incompetent twats. So 6 lads who all live in different houses can meet in the pub and then go back home to their families - no problem. However if a family of 4 go the pub they are restricted to meeting only 2 more people so in essence 2 families of 4 cannot meet even though they all come from 2 households. Utter bobbins. And as discussed yesterday I can stand on the touchline socially distanced from around 20 other parents watching my 10 year old play football but if I pull out a few deckchairs and sit socially distanced in the park with 7 of the same parents then I am breaking the law. That makes sense doesn't it??? RE: UK Covid death toll - Protheroe - 09-10-2020 I'm amazed the way this country is sleepwalking into conformity with no evidential base whatsoever. The cynic in me believes that the government is testing just how compliant we'll be. Then they'll decide what they might be able to get away with long term in the name of 'protecting the NHS', 'saving lives' or the 'climate emergency' or whatever other spurious justification they need to clmap down on our liberty and extort our wealth. Luckily we have people like you who understand the medical professionals are lying and in cahoots with the government to make us all subservient. This is a real virus, it has really killed people, if we don't treat it cautiously then it will kill more people. There isn't a vaccine, there isn't a real way of measuring how many people have got it, and we don't know how it will react as we go into winter. There are over 60k excess deaths this year in the UK, we are approaching 1M deaths worldwide (if we haven't passed that already), but all of those people have sacrificed themselves in order to go along with the governments, Bill Gates and various lizards to get us under the boot. But fuck it, you need a pint. He can still have a pint, in fact he can have 6 if everybody buys a round RE: UK Covid death toll - Brentbaggie - 09-10-2020 (09-10-2020, 08:39 AM)Protheroe Wrote: I'm amazed the way this country is sleepwalking into conformity with no evidential base whatsoever. Do you really believe a government that has bankrupted itself and indebted the country to the extent that it has has done so in order to create a situation where they can deprive people of the liberty to go out and spend huge amounts of money in order to ... er ... deprive you and others of their individual wealth and er ... liberty ... to go and spend or make more money? It would seem somewhat contradictory and also incredibly complicated. Wouldn’t they therefore also be depriving lots of their mates ability to do the same. And er ... I could go on but I think the inherent lack of logic in your theory makes any further examination of it unnecessary and specious. Extort what fucking wealth? Thanks to this Government the number of people living in poverty is rising. RE: UK Covid death toll - Protheroe - 09-10-2020 I sense you've all misunderstood my point. Apparently we're all allowed to got to work, shopping, the pub, restaurants - in fact anything that creates tax receipts. Yet I can't meet up with my cousin and her family. That's what I mean by sleepwalking into subservience - and if you're happy with that then bully for you. I don't agree.
